Amaju Pinnick, a prominent member of CAF and FIFA Executive Committees, has stirred up quite a buzz by revealing that superstar Davido didn’t make it to an event in Warri, Delta State, despite receiving a hefty payment of over $94,600 (N72,558,200.0) and having a private jet reserved for his travel.

In a video that’s gone viral on social media, “Pinnick expressed his disappointment with Davido’sl alleged unprofessional behavior at the Warri Again event held on October 6th, 2023.”

Davido, known for performing at major global events, had been promised $94,600 for his appearance in Warri, with a chartered plane arranged to transport him and his crew. Remarkably, this payment had been made as early as April 6th, 2023.

However, when the event rolled around, Davido was conspicuously absent from the headline slot, leaving the stage to be taken by Shallipopi.

Addressing the audience, “Pinnick expressed his strong displeasure with Davido’s actions and firmly declared that the singer would not be allowed to perform in Warri in the future.”

Pinnick emphasized the abundance of talented stars in Warri, highlighting that no single artist was greater than the city itself. “He even went on to label Davido as arrogant and suggested that Burnaboy was a bigger artist than the DMW boss (Davido).”
