Wayne Rooney, the former England soccer star, is in talks to become the new manager of Birmingham City. It seems he wants to reunite with his former teammates, Ashley Cole from Chelsea and John O’Shea from Manchester United. Rooney recently stepped down from his role as manager of DC United.

Birmingham has been performing quite well in the Championship, but they’ve decided to part ways with their current manager, John Eustace, even though the team is sitting in sixth place after eleven games.
The team’s American owners are excited about the prospect of having Rooney on board, especially now that he’s left Major League Soccer (MLS).

According to the BBC, Rooney won’t be the only big name joining Birmingham. He’s looking to bring in his former England teammate, Cole, who has been coaching the England Under-21 team, and O’Shea, his former teammate from Manchester United, who is currently serving as the assistant coach for the Republic of Ireland.
It looks like exciting times are ahead for Birmingham City as they prepare to welcome some well-known faces to St. Andrew’s.
