Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has come under fire from Temitope Ajayi, the senior special assistant to President Bola Tinubu on media and publicity, after discoveries from Chicago State University.
Ajayi criticised Atiku, calling him “a person lacking in decency,” and he highlighted the fact that Tinubu had given him sanctuary after former President Olusegun Obasanjo had “exposed his vulnerabilities.”

He emphasised that Atiku shouldn’t have put Tinubu under as much pressure as he did. Ajayi reflected on Tinubu’s defence of Atiku during the latter’s confrontation with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in a statement published in the media.
In order to get Tinubu’s degree from Chicago State University, Atiku filed a lawsuit in the United States. Tinubu’s enrollment in the school was verified when the enrollment certificate was made public.

According to Ajayi, “the key question here is not whether President Tinubu graduated from Chicago State University or not. It has to do with my opinion that former Vice President Atiku has an indecently low moral fibre.
Because of his political aspirations and thirst for power, President Tinubu has been subjected to a degree of humiliation and indignity that no friend should have to bear. We’re talking about Tinubu here, who has shown tremendous historical support for Atiku.
This is the same Tinubu that sheltered Atiku when President Obasanjo and the PDP humiliated and abandoned him in 2007. No matter the consequences, no friend should become what former Vice President Atiku has become—a “relentless pursuer.”
